Human resource development plays an essential role in the development process of a country. The Colombo Plan endeavours to enhance human resource development initiatives in member countries through its Capacity Building Programme (CBP).
Short-term training courses, workshops, long-term scholarships and master’s degree programmes. CBP initiatives include training on community-based microcredit and sufficiency in economic development, enhancing development of small and medium-scale industries, and master’s degree programmes in public policy and management.
The initiatives encompass a range of development-related efforts and are currently undertaken by donors on fully or partially-funded cost-sharing basis from member countries of The Colombo Plan and other International Organisations.
The Colombo Plan renewed its MoU with Indonesia and the Republic of Korea.
To support economic and social development in the Asia and Pacific region.
