The Secretary-General attended the Inauguration Ceremony of the Institute of Democracy and Governance (IDAG) spearheaded by Sri Lankabhimanya Karu Jayasuriya, the former Speaker of the Parliament of Sri Lanka. During the event, scholarships were awarded to deserving Sri Lankans by the convenor. The Institute of Democracy and Governance (IDAG) advocates for the inclusion of good governance metrics in policy reforms.

H.E. Dr Reyes attended the National Foundation Day of the Republic of Korea hosted by H.E. Miyon Lee, Ambassador to Sri Lanka. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to the people of Korea on the occasion of their National Foundation Day.

H.E. Dr Reyes attended the 45th ASEAN Senior Officials on Drugs Meeting hosted by the Dangerous Drugs Board of the Philippines and chaired by Undersecretary Earl Saavedra. The Colombo Plan was provided the opportunity to highlight current and future activities of the Drug Advisory Programme in collaboration with the respective narcotics agencies of ASEAN countries. We extend our gratitude to our colleagues in the Philippines for their support in enabling The Colombo Plan's participation in this important event.
