The Regional Training on CHILD C5 – C6 took place from 12 – 17 September 2024 at ITC Ratnadipa in Colombo with the participation of 32 working professionals from Sri Lanka, India, and the Maldives working in the field of Addiction Treatment. The attendees actively engaged in six days of training and successfully completed the two courses. The training benefited from the expertise of esteemed facilitators, Fr Geraldo Costa from Brazil, Dr Francis Moothedan from India, and Ms Thasleem Ifthikar from Pakistan.

The training also provided a platform to share experiences at the grassroot levels of each country and learn collaboratively from each other. The participants were empowered to execute what they have learnt during the training in their respective home countries.

Ms Oranooch Sungkhawanna, Director DAP, shared opening remarks and awarded certificates to all those who participated and completed the training.
