TEACH BACK SESSION OF PORT VISIT - STUDY EXCHANGE TOUR - COLOMBO PORT MARITIME MUSEUM, SRI LANKA

Following the visit to The Port of Virginia, a Teach-Back session was conducted on 18 June 2024, where participants from the Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA) shared their insights on advanced automation and sustainability practices. The session offered a comprehensive overview of the operational efficiencies and environmental stewardship related to the new East Container Terminal (ECT), with the aim of disseminating knowledge and supporting the application of advanced practices within the respective fields.


Key topics covered included the integration of semi-automated systems, the adoption of ecofriendly technologies, and other relevant areas discussed during the visit to the Port of Virginia on 10 May 2024. Capt. Nirmal Silva graced the event as Chief Guest, and it was attended by approximately 40 members of staff from various SLPA departments, including IT, engineering, and operations.
