UPC PRACTITIONERS’ SPECIALTY TRACK 2: SCHOOL-BASED PREVENTION | Mahé, Seychelles | 14-22 October 2024

National Trainers from Seychelles on 14 October 2024 began the second session of UPC PRACTITIONERS’ SPECIALTY TRACK 2: SCHOOL-BASED PREVENTION, conducted by The Colombo Plan Drug Advisory Programme (CPDAP). The first session took place from 21–24 September 2024.

A total of 18 participants, representing educators, school counsellors, school health nurses, programme managers, and administrators, are taking part. This session is being facilitated by Master Trainers Yvana Thérésine and Dr. Lei Rabajante, with the assistance of Diane Mussard and Nicole Barbe.

During this cycle, participants will explore how to match the needs and climate of the school and classroom to the specific focus of evidence-based interventions as well as policies and practices to help children and youth make positive decisions about substances.

This training is co-funded by the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) of the U.S. Department of State and the Division for Substance Abuse Prevention, Treatment, and Rehabilitation (DSAPTR) of the Ministry of Health, Republic of Seychelles.
