H.E. Mr Paitoon Mahapannaporn, Ambassador of Thailand to Sri Lanka, and incumbent Council President of The Colombo Plan, paid a courtesy visit to H.E. Dr Benjamin Reyes at The Colombo Plan Secretariat in Colombo, Sri Lanka. H.E. Mr Mahapannaporn provided updates on the progress of the proposed Thai Office and upcoming activities in Chang Rai, Thailand for the youth.

𝟳 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿

H.E. Dr Reyes attended a meeting with the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Aviation, along with the new leadership of the Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA), to advance the Maritime Advisory Programme (MAP), funded by the U.S. Department of State. The meeting, chaired by Mr K.D.S. Ruwanchandra, Secretary to the Ministry, was attended by Admiral (Ret.) Sirimewan Ranasinghe, the new SLPA Chairman and his executive team. The attendees were briefed on MAP and provided with updates on upcoming activities for 2024. Both parties expressed appreciation for the fruitful discussions and reaffirmed their commitment to continued cooperation and support.
