From 01-11 November 2019, the fourth cycle of training of trainers on the Universal Treatment Curriculum for Substance Use Disorders (UTC) took place in Niamey, at the meeting room of Niger’s Ministry of Public Health. The session focused on UTC 5 and the Refresher Course.
The contents of the curriculum 5 were delivered in five days and were about Intake, Screening, Assessment, Treatment Planning and Documentation for Addiction Professionals. During the next three days, the entire UTC Program was reviewed in preparation for ICAP 1 examination which took place on November 12, 2019. 08 national trainers passed the exam.
This training session was conducted by Dr. Brou Jean Claude Bouabré KOFFI, from Côte d’Ivoire and Dr. Simliwa Dassa Valentin Charles KOLOU, from Togo. Local implementing partner was the Ministry of Justice.
