The Consultative Committee Meeting (CCM), which is traditionally the highest policy making body of the Colombo Plan had its first ever virtual Consultative Committee meeting from 10th -12th August 2021 graciously hosted by the Government of Sri Lanka. Twenty-six Colombo Plan member countries attended the three-day sessions. The proceedings took place in a virtual format, due to the ongoing Covid19 Pandemic as many member states continued to struggle with the health, social and economic challenges.
Welcome address was made by Admiral Prof. Jayanath Colombage, Foreign Secretary of Sri Lanka, followed by the Address of the President of the Colombo Plan Council and the Address by H.E Ambassador Dr. Phan Kieu Thu, Secretary General of the Colombo Plan.
